We’ve struck up a partnership with Svendborg Erhvervsskole & Gymnasier and Søby Værft. The case in question is the electric ferry ‘Ellen’. Going forward, students attending Svendborg Erhversskole’s programmes to become ship engineers and maritime smiths will be able to experience the ship through a VR headset. It’s a rare thing for a ship to be in dock, and so this provides an excellent opportunity as ‘Ellen’ will now always be in dock – in VR/360. 

The teachers themselves will be able to customize learning scenarios relevant to the specific subject they teach and to adjust the complexity of the tours and tasks to fit the particular user. The aim of the project is to give the students as real an experience as possible, to allow them to get familiar with the ship and to practice correct terminology.
