Radiography

Our VR- and PC- based simulations for X-ray skill training

VR X-Ray Simulator

The VR X-Ray Simulator is an innovative way for radiography programs to provide their students with realistic hands-on practice.

Using VR headsets students can enter an immersive and comprehensive virtual world with an extremely realistic X-ray lab, to practice on both healthy and sick patients.

In the VR X-Ray Simulator students can practice all aspects of taking X-ray images in a fail-safe environment.

Medical

Our VR simulations for doctors and medical students

US Guided PVC

The Ultrasound Guided Peripheral Venous Cannulation (USGPVC) module is an accessible and risk-free tool for medical programs and medical institutions to provide their staff and medical students with training in a modern and clinically important skill.

Using a VR headset learners can enter a realistic examination room to meet a virtual instructor teaching how to perform USGPVC and practice on multiple cases with varying difficulty and complexity.

The module includes preparation of the patient and utensils, ultrasound image acquisition and adjustment, probe positioning and of course the ultrasound guided placement of peripheral venous catheters.

POC Ultrasound

The Point-Of-Care Ultrasound training module is a flexible tool for medical programs and institutions to provide learners with POC ultrasound training.

Using a VR headset users can learn and practice their POC ultrasound skills in different examinations, such as:

  • Focused Lung Ultrasound (FLUS)
  • Focused Assessment with Sonography in Trauma (FAST)
  • Focused Abdominal Ultrasound (FAUS)
  • Focused Assessment with Transthoracic Echo (FATE)

In the VR modules learners can practice and test different aspects of ultrasound image acquisition and adjustment, probe handling and position, and image interpretation in  clinical contexts.

Lumbar Puncture

With the Lumbar Puncture (also known as “Spinal Tap”) training module medical programs and institutions can provide learners such as medical students and resident doctors with virtual hands-on training in lumbar puncture.

Using a VR headset learners can enter a realistic hospital room setting, to meet a virtual instructor doing his best to teach the skills required to perform lumbar punctures.

The simulation includes a comprehensive setup, where learners can practice all necessary and relevant aspects of the skill, including:

  • Preparation of patient and utensils
  • Correct hygiene and sterile techniques,
  • Insertion of inducers and placement of spinal needles
  • Tapping spinal fluid
  • Removing needles and equipment, and bandaging the entry site
