The aim of this pilot project was to adapt our VR imaging technologies to also support real-time generation of realistic x-ray and fluoroscopy images from CT-scans.
The pilot was the predecessor to a larger project where the aim is to develop a VR based simulator for testing and training skills in basic osteosynthesis. The project has a large focus of the correct use of fluoroscopy for visualisation and image documentation, something no other simulators allow to practice today.
The project is linked with a PhD project with supervisors from Copenhagen Academy for Medical Education and Simulation (CAMES) and the Orthopedic Department at Slagelse Hopsital.
Hardware: Oculus Quest 2 Tethered (connected to a laptop)
